Rules and Regulations for Baby and Toddler Guide Contest

National Baby and Toddler Contest

OFFICIAL RULES

The contest begins on April 1, 2008 at 12:00:01 a.m. Eastern Time (‘ET’) and ends at 11:59:59 p.m. ET, March 30, 2009 (the ‘Promotion Period’). This contest is sponsored by Hudson’s Bay Company.

TO ENTER: No purchase necessary. During the Promotion Period, entry forms are available at the Baby and Toddler Guide booths in various Baby and Toddler shows to be held in Southern Ontario and on-line at www.thebabyandtoddlerguide.com. (One (1) entry per person, regardless of the method of entry)

All entries must be received on or before 11:59:59 p.m. ET on March 30, 2009.

PRIZE: There is one Grand Prize available to be won consisting of 3,500,000 Hbc rewards points. Hbc Rewards points have no cash value, but are redeemable under the Hbc Rewards Program. Hbc Rewards points which are won can be added to a winner’s existing points. They can either be saved, together with the member’s existing Hbc Rewards points, for future redemption, or redeemed in whole or in part. Upon redemption, the retail value of the points which have been won will vary depending on what they are redeemed for and the number of points redeemed but will average approximately $200 per million points redeemed. Full terms and conditions of the Hbc Rewards Program are available in the Hbc Rewards Catalogue or on-line at www.hbc.com/rewards. If a winner is not an Hbc Rewards Program member, he/she will need to become a member (at no cost or obligation) in order to receive the Grand Prize. Prize must be accepted as awarded without substitution and is not transferable or convertible to cash.

DRAW: On April 6, 2009 at approximately 10:00 a.m. ET a random draw will be made in Mississauga, Ontario from all the eligible entries received during the Promotion Period. The first entry form picked will be deemed the winner of the Grand Prize. The odds of winning depend on the total number of eligible entries received during the Promotion Period. The selected entrant must correctly answer a mathematical skill-testing question posed by telephone or mail at a mutually convenient time and complete and return a declaration and release in a form satisfactory to Hudson’s Bay Company. If the selected entrant declines the prize, incorrectly answers the mathematical skill-testing question or cannot be contacted by mail or telephone within ten (10) days of the draw date, said selected entrant will be disqualified and another entrant will be randomly selected until such time as contact is made by mail or telephone with a selected entrant or there are no more eligible entries, whichever comes first. Hudson’s Bay Company will not be responsible for failed attempts to contact the selected entrant.

ELIGIBILITY: To be eligible, you must be a resident of Canada (excluding Quebec) 16 years of age or older. You are not eligible if, at any point during this time you are (or you live with) an employee, representative or agent of Hudson’s Bay Company or its affiliates (including Zellers Inc.)

GENERAL: By entering the contest, entrants agree to abide by the Official Rules and the decisions of Hudson’s Bay Company with respect to all aspects of the contest, which are final. By acceptance of the prize, the winner agrees to submit to the use of his/her name and/or photograph by Swan Productions Inc., publishers of The Baby and Toddler Guide. The winner of the contest will be announced on thebabyandtoddlerguide.com. Hudson’s Bay Company accepts no responsibility for loss, damage or claims caused by or resulting from the contest or the prize associated with this contest. By entering and accepting the prize, the winner consents to the use of his/her name, address (city and province), entry and/or photograph without further remuneration or notice, in connection with any publicity carried out by or on behalf of Hudson’s Bay Company with respect to this contest or the prize.

Hudson’s Bay Company will not be responsible for late, lost, illegible, incomplete or destroyed entries and all such entries are void. Hudson’s Bay Company does not assume any responsibility for incorrect or inaccurate entry information, technical malfunctions, human or technical error, printing errors, lost, delayed or garbled data or any combination thereof. Entry materials that have been tampered with or altered are void. In the event it is determined that an entrant has entered in a fashion not sanctioned by these Official Rules and/or has submitted more than the number of entries permitted by these Official Rules, the entrant will be disqualified and all of the entries submitted by the entrant will be disqualified.

Hudson’s Bay Company reserves the right to terminate or amend this contest at any time and in any way, without prior notice. Without limiting the foregoing, if, for any reason, the contest is not capable of running as originally planned, such as fraud or tampering, Hudson’s Bay Company reserves the right to cancel the contest and select an entrant from all previously received eligible entries.

All entries become the permanent property of Hudson’s Bay Company and none will be returned. No correspondence will be entered into except with the selected entrant.
